Barcelona a Managerial Disaster from the Top (Part one)

With the transfer market already slam shut the clubs are looking towards the business end of the season and looking to end the season on a high. The same can't be said about a particular club in la liga which has gone from a bad transfer policy to probably one of the worst transfer policies in the world. The club started the season with 4 centre backs 2 of which were good(mostly fit) starters, the 3rd player is great but highly injury prone.

The 4th player is a good fit young player and has potential to grow through the season. During the end of the transfer window barcelona signed no defender and sent their fit young defender on loan and now have only 3 defenders of which only 2 were present to actively play of which one was sent off during the end minutes of the game. This puts barcelona at a back foot as they have no options at the back and one injury will mess up the whole back line.

Pique who is a veteran and one of the best barcelona players in the last decade has been declining and isn't having had a good season. The senior players haven't been on top of their game which is also a cause for concern.

At the end the main problem remains, what were the Barcelona board planning to do this transfer window and what did they accomplish? The team was arguably better at the start of the window compared to now after the january transfer when there has been no acquisitions and a lot of young players have left. This puts a lot of pressure for the new manager and no proper backup for the defensive players.

Are Barcelona over reliant on Leo Messi?

B arcelona are one of if not the biggest club in Europe and the world but in the seasons gone by Barcelona have changed from a team to a one man show. That has also concluded in failing in Europe even though they are termed as favorites in champions league. Barcelona also has to consider life after Leo messi. Barcelona have invested heavily in their attack for the past couple of seasons bringing in the likes of Coutinho, Dembele,Griezmann. But the majority of the goals are still coming from their two forwards Messi and Suarez. Suarez has been in decline for the past two seasons and has lost in touch in Europe. He has scored only one goal in the 2018-19 champions league which is poor for a player of his caliber while messi scored 12 goals and had 3 assists far more than any other Barcelona players. New signings dembele and coutinho also did not enjoy the season where dembele had an injury hampered season, coutinho on the other hand had a disaster class as he was nowhere to be fou

    Pressure Mounts on Valverde

Barcelona have drawn 0-0 against Slavia Prague in the easiest fixture of the group. Barcelona had a terrible game and this puts more pressure on Valverde as he would have hoped to bounce back after the defeat against Levante. The first half was all Slavia Prague they attacked the barcelona defence thoroughly and with intent. They even had a goal called of rightly due to offside.Barcelona only had one spark of light in the first half and were pretty desperate all round. They didn't show any composure on the ball and the midfield was pretty non existent throughout the match. Messi was the lone player in the pitch that showed intent and went absolutely ballistic. He tried to score, assist and create all by himself. Numerous Barcelona players were underperforming throughout the match such as Pique, Dembele,Busquets and Griezmann. The substitutions of Valverde hardly had an Impact in the game. Rakitic was poor and did not show any intent of winning.Roberto tried but couldn&
