Premier league Weekend Recap

English Premier League

Man city vs Watford

Man city took on watford in the premier league after their disappointing performance last week against Norwich. They needed to create a statement out there and boy did they do just that city smashed watford 8-0 scoring 5 in the first 20 minutes and three in the second half. Bernardo silva scored an unusual hat trick on the day and KDB gave a flurry of assists and scored a goal. The scorers also included Otamendi,Aguero, Riyad Mahrez and David Silva. Sterling did not feature in the game it would have been downright massacre as even aguero missed a lot of chances and it could have been 15-0 Quite easily. Deulofeu missed a chance at starting of the game you have to wonder what would have happened if he scored.

West ham Vs Man Utd

Well this did not end well for Utd to put it lightly. Utd have already had a injury crisis on their hand and the season has only just begun. With Martial and Pogba out ,the squad already looks thin but the game against west ham wasn't kind as another one of them fell to the injury table. Rashford picked up
an injury and the injury (type) hasn't been confirmed yet.The manager came out and said that the player felt his groin and at the time of writing the injuries duration hasn't been confirmed.Moving on to the game Man utd struggled to create chances and were overrun in the middle of the field. Matic and Mata started in the match and the team were crying out for the creator. Utd fans would now realise how much work pogba had to do to keep the midfield working. At the end west ham won the game 2-0 with goals from Yarmolenko and Cresswell. That was some free kick by cresswell as he curled the free kick outside of De gea's reach.

Leicester City Vs Tottenham Fc

Tottenham have been on a downward spiral after the 2019 Ucl final. There is no getting around it and you could see that on the pitch the players and the manager both look uncertain and lack confidence and leadership. Kane scored the first goal in the 29 minutes but the second goal was disallowed by the Var as they deemed Son offside. The game shifted momentum after that and Leicester made a great comeback scoring in the 69th and 85th minute with goals from Pereira and Maddison. This has raised a lot of questions in the hearts of Tottenham fans and this result leaves a lot to be desired.

Arsenal Vs Aston Villa

Probably the best game of the weekend this game had the thrills and chills and an epic finish. Arsenal fans would be bustling with joy after the final whistle and Villa would have felt hard done by. They definitely deserved a point in this game. John McGinn scored the opener of the day which was then followed by a double yellow card for Maitland Niles which put more pressure on Arsenal as they went a man down in 41 mins .A Nicholas pepe Penalty brought them on level terms but the joy was cut short as Villa again went ahead inside 1 min of that goal and really exposed arsenal frailties at the back. Arsenal scored the equaliser in the 81st minute with the help of Calum chambers.Guendouzi had a good game and is really looking like a solid player to have on a team, unlike a certain Xhaka who really has not performed well this season. The winner was scored by aubameyang in the dying minutes of the game with the help of a freekick. The free kick was too close to the box and the goalkeeper was rooted to the spot as Aubameyang put the final nail on the coffin(what a player he is to have on a team). This was Aubameyang's 6th goal in as many matches.

Chelsea vs Liverpool

The final game has to be Chelsea vs Liverpool the game was played in stamford bridge.Liverpool took an early lead with the help of a free kick scored by trent with the help of salah. Salah drags the ball towards TAA and then he bangs the ball towards the top right corner. It was a well practised free kick routine.Chelsea had a goal disallowed as mount was offside.Minutes after the incident Liverpool scored another with the help of another free kick as Andy Robertson sent the ball towards the box and Firmino headed it home for the European Champions. The second half was dominated by Chelsea and an inspiration by Kante helped them find a goal. The whole of the half was spent on chelsea finding another goal but they missed a lot of chances and Liverpool walked back with all three points.
