Top 10 Goalkeepers in the world

Goalkeepers are the biggest part of a defence and a strong goalkeeper means a strong backline. They are the last line of defence and a strong team needs a strong goalkeeper. Let's look at the current top goalkeepers in the world.

10. Andre Onana:

André Onana (born 2 April 1996) is a young Cameroonian international football player who plays for Dutch club Ajax and also the Cameroon national team, as a goalkeeper. Last year in the eredivisie he had 15 clean sheets in 33 games and also had a good champions league run.

9. David de gea:

David de gea has had a massive drop off in the last season he had a terrible 2018-19 season keeping as low as 7 clean sheets and conceding a massive 51 goals in the Epl. Though the blame has also to be shifted on united's shaky backline which was shambolic to say the least. Though the keeper himself made a lot of errors we expect de gea to bounce back this season.

8. Samir Handanovic:

Handanovic had a great 2018-19 he had 17 clean sheets in 38 games and with the arrival of conte who is much more defensive and conservative in his approach we can expect an even better season from them. Handanovic is also the current inter milan captain.

7. Kepa arrizabalaga:

Kepa arrizabalaga is a young spanish goalkeeper who was also plays for chelsea. He was the most expensive goalkeeper in the world until allison. Chelsea bought him from athletic club by paying his release clause. He had 14 clean sheets in the epl last season.Though he may have a shaky start to 2019-20 because of chelsea's transfer ban he has clearly been a great goalkeeper.

6. Hugo Lloris:

Lloris is the current tottenham goalkeeper and been the captain of the french national team. Lloris has had an exceptional few years for both club and country in 2018 he lifted the world cup and in 2019 he reached the champions league final. Though they lost to liverpool In the final but that was the highest point in the history of their club. His shotstopping is among the best but he has a lot to work on distribution.

5. Wojciech Szczesny:

Szczęsny is the current juventus number 1 and the best goalkeeper in Serie A he has been a great goalkeeper for a consistent time but finally gotten his breakthrough in Juventus. He also played for arsenal in the past but spent some time on loan at brentford and roma after finally getting signed by Juventus.

4. Ederson:

Ederson Santana de Moraes (born 17 August 1993), known simply as Ederson , is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Manchester City and the Brazil national team. He is considered the world's most expensive goalkeeper from a transfer value perspective by the CIES. Ederson is a good short stopper and his distribution and passing is exceptional even among the other goalkeepers.

3. Jan Oblak:

The current Atletico Madrid Goalkeeper is one of the finest short stoppers in the world probably the best considering only short stopping. His distribution is good but not as good as the next two goalkeepers.

2. Allison becker:

Allison is the goalkeeper to be nowadays he is the most expensive goalkeeper beating kepa of liverpool and has won the Uefa champions league as well as the best goalkeeper award in UCL. Though he has had a lot of help from his defence in the last season he didn't make the top of the list as he has only been top for one season.

1. Marc andre ter stegen:

Ter Stegen is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world having had a great personal season ter stegen didn't have the best of defence around him but still saved barcelona plenty of times and winning a lot of one on ones and having a lot of double saves. Unlike the two goalkeepers above ter stegen had a pretty poor backline(comparatively). Pique has been aging and with Umtiti injured they had rely on their new summer signing Lenglet who has been good but definitely not a world beater and has shown signs of immaturity and inconsistency.

I Believe any of the top 3 has a shout on being the best in the world this is my opinion. Comment what do you think

Norwich city causes the biggest upset of the season

Norwich city has caused the biggest upset of the season. The newly promoted side has defeated Man city in the English premier league this is city's first defeat since january and can have a big effect on the season ahead.Pukki had a contribution in all three goals he scored 1 assisted 1 and was in the buildup of the first one he has continued with his brilliant run of form in the premier league and is setting the league alight. What does it mean for city? Man city really need to dip into the transfer market and get a new Centre back with company gone and not replaced and laporte out for a long time city has a shaky backline. Otamendi lost his head and gave two goal scoring chances .The third goal was an utter disgrace as Otamendi didn't even know a player was approaching him. City also need a long term replacement of kompany who left the club at the end of last season. Kevin de bruyne was subbed in during the second half but he couldn't seem to get city over th...

Premier league Weekend Recap

English Premier League Man city vs Watford Man city took on watford in the premier league after their disappointing performance last week against Norwich. They needed to create a statement out there and boy did they do just that city smashed watford 8-0 scoring 5 in the first 20 minutes and three in the second half. Bernardo silva scored an unusual hat trick on the day and KDB gave a flurry of assists and scored a goal. The scorers also included Otamendi,Aguero, Riyad Mahrez and David Silva. Sterling did not feature in the game it would have been downright massacre as even aguero missed a lot of chances and it could have been 15-0 Quite easily. Deulofeu missed a chance at starting of the game you have to wonder what would have happened if he scored. West ham Vs Man Utd Well this did not end well for Utd to put it lightly. Utd have already had a injury crisis on their hand and the season has only just begun. With Martial and Pogba out ,the squad already looks thin but ...

Pressure Mounts on Valverde

Barcelona have drawn 0-0 against Slavia Prague in the easiest fixture of the group. Barcelona had a terrible game and this puts more pressure on Valverde as he would have hoped to bounce back after the defeat against Levante. The first half was all Slavia Prague they attacked the barcelona defence thoroughly and with intent. They even had a goal called of rightly due to offside.Barcelona only had one spark of light in the first half and were pretty desperate all round. They didn't show any composure on the ball and the midfield was pretty non existent throughout the match. Messi was the lone player in the pitch that showed intent and went absolutely ballistic. He tried to score, assist and create all by himself. Numerous Barcelona players were underperforming throughout the match such as Pique, Dembele,Busquets and Griezmann. The substitutions of Valverde hardly had an Impact in the game. Rakitic was poor and did not show any intent of winning.Roberto tried but couldn...
